July

Wow! I haven't written anything in a while! Funny how time passes you by.......

We hve been enjoying this summer so far. Bret has been able to take some time off in week chunks so it has been nice to have his company.

Jordyn is so busy coming and going between our house and Chad's that sometimes I forget what it is like to have 3 kids. We picked her up from Yakima on our way to mom and dad's in Missoula for the 4th of July, and little did we know that we also brought along the chicken pox! Poor kid, we still don't know where she got it.........

Miss Emylee loved riding the carousel in Missoula and still asks if we can go ride the pony. Too bad we don't know anyone around here who owns one. She turned two in April and has graced us with jekyl/hyde- jekyl/hyde disposition for awhile now. Good thing her sweet times melt your heart. What is that old nursery rhyme?- there once was a girl with a little curl............
She is going through the chicken pox as I write this, thought we had missed it with her.

Sweet Victorya- what more can I say? She has been my easiest baby by far (after she outgrew her colic of course). Almost 8 months old and trying desperately to keep up with big sister Emylee.

Love you all and hope your summer is blessed!

2009

Well, the Perkins 5 are looking forward to 2009! We survived the Boeing strike, dodged the 10,000 worker layoff, pregnancy, heartburn, two feet of snow, temper tantrums, and a new additon to the family! Can't wait to see what blessings the Lord bestows this year!

Miss Jordyn

Miss Jordyn is 9 going on 19! She spends most of her time on the computer, dancing to music, playing her nintendo ds, and reading in the bathtub. (reminds me of myself at that age!) When we are graced with her presence, she is playing with her sisters or unloading the dishwasher. She still enjoys school and was nominated by her teacher to participate in leadership club. We are all proud of her and can't wait to see what she accomplishes in the next few years.

Miss Emylee

Our sweet Emylee has become a force to be reckoned with! Not quite two but definately demonstrating the "terrible twos" at times, she has a mind of her own. Whether it is scattering every toy in the toy box or demanding "juice" in her favorite cup, she keeps us on our toes. Oh, but what a smile and a sweet disposition when she chooses! She wasn't too sure about the new pink bundle but has since become such a big helper mom has to make sure new baby sister isn't helped right out of the swing or off the couch. But, we wouldn't trade this sweet little blessing for anything!

Miss Victorya

Well, as most of you know, our biggest news of 2008 was the newest addition to our family. Miss Victorya Joy was born on the 10th of December at home. She was a beautiful, bouncing, QUIET, bundle of joy -until at three weeks she introduced us to the exhausting, very misunderstood world of colic. For weeks I nearly went out of my mind trying to find a rhyme or reason. Did I eat something spicy? Is she overstimulated? Did she not nap enough? Did she nap too much? Gas? Burp? Wet? Hurt???? After trying everything and nothing, I did some research and read everything I could get my hands on. She is now 8 weeks old and I have become an expert on her cues. One thing is for sure, she has taught us all the meaning of patience and unconditional love. What an unexpected blessing she has been for us!
